London, 1839. On the evening of the Feast of the Dead, Edgar Poe is invited by Lors Blackwood to a tavern to present his latest fantastic tale. Journalist Alan Foster is at the table to explain to Poe that he doesn't believe in the supernatural, while Poe insists that he only writes about reality. The aristocrat then challenges Foster to spend a night at his castle in Providence. A castle reputed to be haunted, and from which no one has been able to leave alive at dawn.

After an extensive crowdfunding campaign and many trials and tribulations, Cinématographique Lyre is delighted to announce that the restoration has been completed, and is now available in Ultra HD and HD in a magnificent collector's box set.

Inside, you'll find: 6 photograms from the film, a 96-page booklet: “Barbara conduit le bal, souvenirs du film, du cinéma populaire italien et du cinéma bis de manière générale” containing an exchange between Jean-Pierre Bouyxou (author of some 40 books on cinema) and Vincent Roussel (creator of Journal cinéma du Dr Orlof).

You'll also find 3 DVDs: a 4K UHD of the film, a 2K Blu-ray of the film and a Blu-ray of supplements.

The box set has received very positive reviews:

The film is available in 1.85:1, lasts 91 minutes, is in black and white and is available in VF, VOSTF, as well as in SME for the deaf and hard of hearing and Audiodescription for the visually impaired.

This edition is available from Artus Films in Gothic masterpieces.
